Sparks, Nicholas. The Choice. First Trade Edition: August 2008
Some people believe that they have everything because they have the perfect job, the best friends and a house on the hill. Travis Parker was a single man who thought he had the perfect life. He couldn’t think of anything more to ask for until one day he got a new neighbor. This new neighbor made him realize that he was missing companionship and love. After building up his courage he decided to introduce himself to her. He found out her name was Gabby Holland. They began to spend more and more time together so that they could get to know each other better. Travis begins to fall in love with her. Everything is going well in their relationship and then Travis finds out terrible news. Gabby has a boyfriend! What will Travis do? Who will Gabby choose? The ending will leave you stunned.
I decided to read this book because of Vikki Reigh’s post and also because I’ve heard that Nicholas Sparks books are intriguing and easy to comprehend. Sparks made his book appealing to a young and older audience. The setting and his descriptiveness draws you end until the end. I love reading real love stories, not stories about love you find in fairytales. The love that Sparks expresses in this book is love that people today truly experience. I recommend The Choice to anyone who enjoys reading about love.
